We are people who love to just hang out at church and home. Our house is "lived in" all the time. (This means that there is dust on the shelves and dishes are in the sink.)
Tim plays softball twice a week! OK, he does manage a team of old guys who think they are playing the world series every week but it is great exercise.
His career as an appraiser gives him some great opportunities. He also has a gift in finding the hidden treasure of the "classic car." That right a 442! I have learn to enjoy the exciting discovery of the classic car with the online pictures and then the long drive to a distant place. It's about the journey right? Only to see that the car wasn't the same as the picture. Gotta love photo shop.
God has blessed us with a wonderful family and great friends whom we hold dear.

Treasure hunting in thrift stores finding people in the balcony and treasure hunting on line for classic cars with no engine from Texas is a great adventure. You say you like to hang around the house, you are a home body, and that’s great. But, YOU, girl, are a great adventurer too.
I love Steven Curtis Chapman’s song, "The Great Adventure." He saw himself in God's word as a freed prisoner, set free by God's grace with a big frontier in front of him. Someone called to him, "Come on, let's go! Saddle up your horses we've got a trail to blaze. Through the wild blue yonder of God's amazing grace. Let's follow our leader into the glorious unknown. This is life like no other yeah...
This is the Great Adventure!!!!!"
Because you came to my home and "hung out" with my dust and dishes you alphabetized my CD's and I was able to lay my hand on Steven's Great Adventure album and I'm listening to it as I write. Your love language, time with others and service to them in what ever arena they need… you spoke the love of Jesus when you spent an entire day of your vacation organizing my office.
So, whether we are hanging out at church, home, friend’s homes, the thrift store or the virtual store let’s be intentional to speak God’s love to the one with whom we are hanging, with our spurs on, in the saddle, then our leader will take us into the glorious unknown. I’m going to go now and speak to Bob in his love language… FISHING. He’s taking Taylor out early to fish and could probably use a woman’s touch in preparing. Oh no, that’s not his love language. I’ll just go in the garage and watch quietly while he packs his stuff.
Getty-Up!
You two are so cute!
Since CJ leaves such long comments, I thought I would stick to short ones. :)
I have come to visit via Chris' blog. I can absolutely identify with the car thing. My husband loves to take old cars (1928, 1932, 1938,etc.) and make hot rods. He and our two sons have built a few. He is currently working on a '38 ford. We know exactly what you mean about the pictures. He has traveled hundreds of miles only to find the car that was it "great condition" is a "rust bucket" (as he so eloquently describes them).
Nice to meet you!! Welcome to this amazing world of blogging.
Hi Kim, I stopped by from Chris's blog and I can see we should be friends! I too have 2 grown children and one son still at home (13). Life is changing for me right now, transitioning from lots of kids and activity around to time to focus on other endeavors. A new season coming, perhaps. Blessings and welcome to blogland.
One of your friends sent me this way. I am here via Chris. Welcome to blogging!!
