Opportunity

Last weekend I had a great opportunity to share at a women's retreat in Canby, Oregon. It was an answer to prayer from a friend who had moved to Vancouver, Washington. She had been believing the Lord for this invitation for over two years. I did not see it - but she did. I am home now and I wanted to express my sincere appreciation for people in my life who have seen and believed for things that I could not. It isn't that I couldn't grab hold of it, it was more that I would quickly hit the ‘default button’ in my thinking and revert back to the comfortable position or the familiar world I had created.

Like my friend, they come in and out of my life at just the right moment. Some with short and sweet insights, others with a sincere commitment to see me through the entire journey. At the retreat, I experienced a team of women who spoke to me. They showed me the value of what I was doing and gave me a chance to understand and appreciate the way God has wired me. The way I expressed myself, the ideas I gave, the short conversations concerning ministry and vision - it all confirmed His truth and inspired me.

I am truly humbled and realized how very valuable the prayers of friends can be in my life. It is my hope that I will be the same and model great faith in prayer.

Thank you friends for not giving up... believing for more!

Kim,

I see it. I believe in the call of God upon your life and your shepherd's heart. I too am humbled at the privilege of partnering with you in the plan of God. You KNOW I’m believing for more!

Supporting you and your family in prayer, word and deed,

Connie Jo
