Yesterday, a co-worker told me of her parking ticket she got at Fullerton JC. She had to drop off her high schooler at the library and was having trouble locating the library. She final saw a sign and quickly parked at the nearest lot.
She was away from her car for 3 minutes just to verify that the library was the next building and there it was, a parking ticket. She had parked in the 'facility parking lot' and it was a $40 fine. The guy was standing by her car, writing it out as she complained about the poor signage and the unfair situation. He turned and said, "You can protest it if you want."
Wow! He said it straight... I am sure she will take his advise but after hearing that story, I wonder how many times life's injustice hits our routine and we don't protest. It has caused me to take stock in what really is happening around my little world. Like abortion, same sex marriages and nude juice bars.
Let us protest!
