One Way ONLY

How much clearer do we need a sign to be?

About two years ago I had the wonderful experience of driving down the 'one way' streets at downtown Los Angeles, California. Our Destination: the diamond district. My oldest son was the passenger and so excited about the reason for this trip. The Mssion: to find the best diamond engagement ring for his beloved. Since I never had been there before it was vital to have him as the navigator. As you can imagine, driving in the big city with one way streets can be very intimidating. Huge high-rise buildings and a signal light at every block. Scary!

It's best to be very alert. Truly, the greatest fear would be to discover us going down an avenue toward oncoming traffic. My son was very aware of my wide eye look and kept assuring me that everything would be all right. After many hours and several shops we found the diamond ring, quickly located the right freeway and before long we were back to familiar territory. God has given us clear directions in our life on what way we need to go.

"Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life.

No one comes to the Father except through me." John 14:6

Clear directions and a great guide in life… the Bible!

“As for God, his way is perfect; the word of the LORD is flawless.

He is a shield for all who take refuge in him.” Psalm 18:29-31
